To commemorate the late President Mei Yi-chi for his lifelong and significant contributions to education, the alumni of the University have established the Mei Yi-chi President Memorial Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as “the Scholarship”). These guidelines are formulated to benefit outstanding students and encourage future scholars.
- Eligibility for Award: Currently enrolled second-year undergraduate students of the University who demonstrate good conduct.
- Funding Source: The Scholarship was initiated with a generous donation of NT$10 million from University alumni as the founding fund. Continued donations from all sectors of society are welcome. The fund is deposited in a designated University account to accrue interest, and both the interest and principal are used to provide the scholarships.
- Number of Awards: Each year, 10 students across the University will be awarded the Scholarship. The College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science will have 1 primary recipient and 1 alternate.
- Scholarship Amount: NT$100,000 per recipient.
- Application Requirements:
(1) Currently enrolled second-year undergraduate students of the University.
(2) A cumulative GPA of 3.76 or above for each academic term.
(3) An “A” rating in conduct for all academic years, with no record of disciplinary action for violations of University regulations.
(Disciplinary records can be requested from the Student Assistance Division, First Office, by contacting the officer on duty.)
(4) Not concurrently receiving any other on-campus or off-campus scholarships or grants during the same semester.
- Application Period: From now until noon on Mar. 9, 2026. Application materials must be submitted to the departmental office (Delta Building, Room 501).
- Required Application Documents:
(1) Scholarship application form.
(2) Original academic transcript (including GPA for each term, class ranking, and conduct records).
(3) Certificate of no disciplinary violations of University regulations.
(Disciplinary records can be requested from the Student Assistance Division, First Office, by contacting the officer on duty.)
(4) Certificate stating that the applicant is not concurrently receiving other on-campus or off-campus scholarships or grants.
